What is the Crane Herb Company Pharmacy?

The Crane Herb Company Pharmacy is a service offered by Crane Herb Company, Inc. that allows your health professional to enter prescriptions for Chinese herbs and herbal formulas. You can pick up and pay online for your prescriptions using our website, and we will ship them directly to you.

How do I pick up my prescription?

If you received an email telling you that your prescription is ready, you can follow the directions in the email message and click the included pickup link.

Or, you can visit www.craneherb.com, and enter your prescription number and last name in the prescription pickup form.

When will you ship my prescription?

If you pick up your Custom Prescription by 2 PM Eastern Time, we will ship it the same business day.  if you pick it up after 2 PM Eastern Time, we will ship it the next business day. If you pick up your Patent Prescription by 2 PM Eastern Time, we will ship it the same business day.  if you pick it up after 2 PM Eastern Time, we will ship it the next business day. We are almost always able to fill Patent Prescriptions from our inventory.

In the unlikely event of a backorder, the Prescription Checkout page will show which prescriptions are in stock (under the Stock column) and which items require a backorder (under the BO column). Backorders are generally filled within 2-3 days.

What are my shipping options in the USA?

You can have your prescription shipped by the US Post Office's Priority Mail, which takes 1-3 days anywhere in the USA. You can also choose from UPS Ground, UPS Three Day Select, UPS Second Day Air, or UPS Next Day Air Saver. UPS services are not available to post office boxes.

Your shipping charges will be calculated before you are asked to enter your credit card information, enabling you to change your shipping method if desired.

What are my shipping options outside the USA?

Please email us at pharmacy@craneherb.com for information on shipping charges to addresses outside of the U.S.

How much are shipping and handling charges?

Shipping charges are based on the weight of the shipment and the shipping method you select. For example, the current charge for a package up to 2 pounds shipped to a U.S. address by USPS Priority Mail is $4.05 (a savings of $1.45 vs. UPS Ground). The handling fee is $3.50 for one bottle and $5.00 for two or more bottles.

How secure is my credit card information?

All credit card information entered into the pharmacy is sent over a secure, encrypted connection to our credit card company using SSL, the industry standard for secure transactions over the internet.

If you submit your credit card number to the Crane Herb Company Pharmacy and you have security alerts turned on in your web browser, you will receive a message from your browser telling you that the page you are about to enter is secure.

If you prefer to not enter your credit card information into our website, please contact your health professional about purchasing Crane Herb Company herbs and herbal formulas directly from your health professional’s clinic.

Which credit cards does Crane Herb Company accept?

We accept Visa and Mastercard.

How do I turn on security alerts in Netscape?

In Netscape for Windows and Macintosh:

  • Click the padlock icon in the lower left hand corner of any browser window.
  • Select Navigator from the menu at left.
  • Under “Show a warning before,”select “Entering an encrypted site.”
  • Click the OK button to save your changes.

How do I turn on security alerts in Internet Explorer?

In Internet Explorer for Windows:

  • Select Internet Options from the View menu.
  • Under Advanced, select Security.
  • Select “Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode.”
  • Click the OK button to save your changes.

In Internet Explorer for the Macintosh:

  • Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  • Under Web Browser, select Security.
  • In the Alerts section, click “Show an alert when entering a page that is secure.”
  • >Click the OK button to save your changes.

How can I test my security alerts?

To test your alerts without actually having your credit card charged, enter “test” in the credit card number field and submit the prescription. You will see the security alert from your web browser, then you will receive an “invalid credit card number” page. If you would then like to pick up your prescription, you can click the Back button on your browser and enter your credit card number into the form.

Do I need to turn on cookies to pick up a prescription?

You do not need to turn on cookies to pick up a prescription, or to use any other area of our website.

Do you share my personal information with other companies?

Crane Herb Company does not share any personally identifiable patient information with any company, group or person. Patient personally identifiable information is shared only with the health professional who entered the prescription.

Why do I receive a message which says “identity certificate not using an identifiable algorithm” when I attempt to pay for my prescription?

Older web browsers do not properly handle secure online transactions. Affected browsers include the following:

Netscape 4.05 and earlier (on all platforms).

Microsoft Internet Explorer prior to 5.0 (on Macintosh only).
